There are two fees if you use our service to join the program.
Child applicants do not have to pay for background and security checks but you must pay the service fee for error checking and processing on their behalf.
Membership fees are as follows:
If you use our service to apply, there is a service fee of $139.99 – payable by all applicants using our payment processor
Background & Security checking fee $50.00 – payable with the card you listed on your application form. (Child applicants do not pay this fee.)
Once you have paid your fees and we have submitted your application you will receive an email explaining the next steps.
Your application will go through the following status:
Application Submitted: We have submitted your application to the government for background and security checks and you have been sent your Traveler Profile. This process takes 48 hours from the moment you submit your application and pay the service fee (providing there is no missing or incorrect information.
Pending Review: Your application will be pending review for up to 6 months and in a few rare instances, longer! This is the period where the government are checking your background with a host of government agencies like immigration and law enforcement.
After around 6 months, you will receive an email from CBP informing you that your application status has changed.
Conditional Approval: When all of your background checks come back clear and you are classified as a low risk traveler your application status will change to conditional approval. At this stage you have 30 days to schedule an interview at one of the enrollment centers in Canada or the USA. You have 365 days to attend the interview. If you fail to schedule or attend your application will be denied and you will have to reapply and pay all of the fees again.
Denied: If your application wasn’t deemed as low risk you will be denied from the program. You will not be invited for interview but you will receive a virtual letter detailing the reasons for your denial. You can appeal by calling an enrollment center and setting up a meeting with a manager to discuss your case.
Approved: Some lucky renewal applicants may be approved without an interview, but these cases are rare. Most applicants will be approved once they have attended an interview.
Activate Card: Once you have been approved and you have received your physical membership card you must login to your Traveler Profile and activate your card.

You must be a US or Canadian citizen or a legal permanent resident with a machine readable PR card.
All you have to do is follow these steps:
Fill out our application form – one per applicant;
Pay the service fee (USD 139.99) for the error checks and application processing;
We check your submission and notify you of any missing information within 48 hours;
When we have your personal data in order, we pay the background and security check fee ($50 adults only) using the card listed on your application;
As a part of our service all of our customers receive a free application submission after we have thoroughly prepared and checked your application form.
Monitor your application status by using the information in the Traveler Profile – you will receive this as soon as we submit your data for security checks;
Attend an interview – it now takes up to 6 months to reach the interview stage – please be patient, this is out of our control!
Get your membership card within 10-14 days after a successful interview;
